First I would like to say that I bought this game when it first came out and I loved it! I have beaten the game several times and I still play it to this day. Now on to the review.

Gameplay- Old school RPG elements of the old Dragon Warrior games, but now with Pokemon-esque monster capturing. Basically you throw meat at monsters and they develop feelings for you, if they like you enough, they join you. You use those captured monsters to fight other monsters so you can find a plug to save the Kingdom of Greatlog. You battle with 3 monsters that you have caught or breed, thats right, you can breed monsters to make stronger ones. I believe that there are somewhere around 300 monsters but I don't remember exactly. The magic spells your monsters learn are passed down onto the offspring and certain skills combine to make a stronger, new spell. One such combination is Lighting and Thordain which create Hellblast, one of the best skills in the game IMO. If you like the gameplay in Pokemon but hate the fact that you are playing Pokemon, then you'll like this.

Graphics- For a Gameboy Colro game, the graphics are amazing. You have high quality monsters sprites during battles and amzing looking magic animations. When on the map moving about, the graphics are reminiscent of Pokemon, but alot better. They put detail into each monster that follows you so you can tell the difference between each one. The graphics are at least 5x better than the graphics in Pokemon.

Sound- Again, for a Gameboy Color game, the sound is great. All the music is amazing and I've even found myself whistling the tunes to myself when I'm bored.

Value- Well worth the price you could find the game for nowadays. You could literally play the game for 3 years and not get bored of it. I know because I've done it. Haha.
