Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

One of my all time favorite RPG's.

I didn't like this game at all when I first played it. The graphics were crappy the music wasn't much better and I was the cliche'd silent protagonist. I however was totally not ready for what this game did to me. It somehow completely charmed me with its story and characters.
Dragon Warrior 7 offered me something the better looking console rpg's of the time couldn't. A story I absolutely loved. The way the game unfolded was truely well thought. I loved going into the new worlds and finding each new subsequent peice to unlocking another. The quests were never really a trifle and the difficulty level was just right. After getting into the game the graphics that were once crappy some how looke charming.
DW7 is a real sleeper.

  Summary, eh? OK, basically, graphics aren't Halflife 2 quality, but you shouldn't care. The game rocks.
