Dragon Warrior II is a good sequel... but not as good as I would have expected.

Dragon Warrior II was a game I was expecting a lot from, since it was the sequel of Dragon Warrior I and was released after Final Fantasy I. I have to admit that I was a little bit disappointed by the gameplay and by the fact that your characters available were dictated by the game. This lack of flexibility was a major downside of the game. Still, the storyline was good, and we have to remember that at this moment, we where still at the emergence of RPG's on the NES. Overall, it is a good game, but too linear.
