Not the Best DBZ game.....at all.
Character selection : There's actually a pretty good selection of characters. Included are characters from every major DBZ saga. Too bad some of them are horribly overpowered. Actually, you'll find out that the only two characters worth using are Super Buu or SSJ3 Goku, and maybe Vegeta....that's a shame. Characters like Tenshinhan, Piccolo, Dabura, Android 16, or even Mirai Trunks are not even worth using, basically. But, for selection, it's pretty good.
Graphics : For a late 90's game (it was released in Japan in the late 90's....it's basically the same game), they are not horrible. They're not great either, but they don't suck.
Gameplay : Punch, kick, Ki blast, fly. That's all you'll be using. It gets real boring real quickly. You don't really need a strategy for the actual fights either....just walk up to them, punch them into a corner, and finish them there....or ki blast them to death....or kick them.....not hard.
Story mode : What story mode? THERE IS NONE!!! You choose one character, and you fight everyone. That's it. No conversation, no plot, nothing. Just a fight. Woot.
Other modes : There is a two player deal, but the hard part is finding someone else to actually WANT to play it.
Well, if you NEED a Dragon Ball game on your PS, go for Final Bout. It isn't as rare as it once was...you can find it anywhere now. Final Bout isn't really too good either, but it's the best you'll find on the Playstation. If you have a PS2...WHY ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT GETTING THIS GAME? DBZ : Budokai 1, 2, and 3 are out and are worlds better than this game.
In short, if you need to play this game....rent. If not, Budokai 3 is your best choice for a DBZ game.
