Story (6/10)
Legacy of Goku covers the story of Dragonball Z up through the end of the Frieza saga. You control only Goku, but the other popular Dragonball Z characters are present, including Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo and the saiyans Vegeta and Nappa.

The downside of the story is, you only get to play with Goku and there is a surprising lack of cutscenes or dialogue that show what else goes on. Only those who have seen the Dragonball Z TV show will fully understand the events that are happening.

Gameplay (7/10)
As Goku, you have the opportunity to do as he does in the show. Flying, chi waves and hand-to-hand fighting are all available to you. The game plays like an action-RPG and displays a very nice balance between the two genres. Walking through cities and talking to NPCs gives it the feel of an RPG while battle is action based as opposed to turn-based.

Graphics (8/10)
The graphics are nicely done. The sprites keep hold of the true look of the characters without making them look too corny and the background is nice and not pixilated.

Durability (7/10)

Overall Score (7.1/10)
Rounded Score (7/10)

Final Thoughts:
A nice game for fans of the Dragonball Z anime. Those that are not familiar with it should stay away.
