Dragon ball Z goes portable and dosent dissapoint
The Bad: Horrible cutscenes that needed VO or atleast been movies, and also really bad story.
Its hard to believe that the Dragon ball Z franchise is still making more and more games after the TV series has been done for a while. But when you make Dragon ball z portable Does it live up to the hype. Definitly.
The story starts off, when well... what happened? Okay lets just say this the story was boring.. It has been the same thing every single game finding the Dragon balls. Yes thats right! Another adventure with Goku and friends to get those dragon balls. The story was just stupid. It took place after where the TV series left off and the story cutscenes are boring and unentertaining.
The gameplay was basically like a Dragonball Z game.. It was very simalar to the Dragon ball Z games on the ps2. The controls for this game are very good. Its alot better having to just press circle, up, rather then press square up down triangle circle (not actual combinations) to do a spirit bomb. The game flowed through real smooth and had a great fast paced action any other Dragon ball Z game would have. The controls are basic. X is how you guard, Square is how you Punch, Triangle is how you do a hard punch, and circle is a blast attack. The sense of speed is the awesome thing about the game mainly though.
The graphics are sort of that anime, colourful, expirience you would get from any other dragon ball Z game. The graphics were definitly not the best but really good for the psp.
For the audio it was pretty nicely done. The background music stuff was good, and it also had some VO... THey could have deifinitly been better though. If there were some original dragon ball Z background music I would buy but from this game I wouldent recommend the audio very much.
Overall its a nice game with good graphics, a nice sense of speed, but it could have used a better story, and better cutscene dialgue with VO.
I would only recommend this to a fan of the series or the game series for Dragon ball Z.
