An awesome sequal to Shin Budokai

User Rating: 8.5 | Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road PSP
This game is a great sequal to Shin Budokai, but one of the greatest things about this game has to be the new story, it's a what if story about how things might have happened if Majin Buu ever came to Trunks's future world and like in the original Majin Buu saga it all starts off at the world tournament but instead of Babidi looking for Gohan, he's looking for Trunks instead.

the gameplay in this game is'nt that hard to get the hang of, so once you've mastered one characters move set, then you've pretty much mastered all of the characters, it also looks like Dimps have used some similar gameplay mechanics and elements from the Tenkaichi series, such as the new camera and all the characters having just 3 finishers which but the worst thing about the gameplay is that you have to figure out how to do it your self because there is no mode that shows you how to do any moves and it only tell's you minor basics in the command menu, so you could find your self struggling to find out how to do those cool moves that your opponents dish out.

For a PSP game, the graphics are brillinat, it almost looks like the Budokai's from the PS2 except that the finisher cut scenes are more similar to Tenkaichi 1's, but it helps keep the gameplay at a fast pace, some of the details of the characters and back grounds are a bit blurry but apart from that, the graphics are excellent, Dimps deserves a pat on the back for the graphics in Shin Budokai Another Road

The arcade mose in this game is et up like a World Tournament, so you just pick your character and battle through a bunch of opponents, and at the very end of it all, there will be a bit of dialough between some of the characters like Goku inviting everyone to lunch with the prize money and you'll also get about 14 new items in the shop which you can use on your profile card.

Theres not many characters to unlock in this game because most of them are already available when you start the game but if your looking for something to unlock then there are plenty of stamps to unloch, which you can use on your profile card and you can also win other cards that can upgrade your character for this games new upgrade system but it is'nt really enough to get you hyped enough to play through the arcade and story mode again and again just to unlock these extras.

Well thats my review of Shin Budokai 2 and in my opinion it's a really great game and can be enjoyed by fans of DBZ and people who are otherwise not interested in DBZ at all.
