Not an overall great gaming experience, but it does hold true to the Dragonball Z universe

User Rating: 4 | Dragon Ball: Raging Blast PS3

Raging Blast is yet another Dragonball Z game that is set in the universe of Goku and his friends. Players that know the story will feel themselves familiar with the story and know what's going on. Goku and his friends trying to save the world from evil.

The gameplay in this game is not fun. It is a lot of the same going on in every battle. Mashing a lot of buttons and trying to set of a super attack. The camera can be really awkard making it hard to really figure out what is happening on the screen sometimes. The locking mechanism is also very clumsy and isn't very good.

The story is what you expect out of a Dragonball Z game, there isn't a whole lot of new content compared to the other games in the series. It's great if you want to relive the story of the Dragonball universe, but don't expect anything radically new

The voice over and audio does hold a high standard making you believe you are Goku at times. Even being in the anime itself with great voice acting. This is the strongest part of the game, making you feel like you are the characters of the series and wanting to hear more.

There are some games modes you can explore, but overall it is the same type of gameplay in all of them. There isn't a whole lot of variation except for the different characters.

Overall:

if you want to experience a Dragonball Z game with good voice over acting and a good story it is the game for you. It does a lot of fan service, but not much else. Gameplay wise it's not good and it should be better.
