Faithful to the original, to a BIG fault

I remember when I first saw Double Dragons new X360 screens I was pumped. Just by looking at the before & after photos what fan wouldnt have been? but then came the demo, and what a let down. First of all, it played bad. really bad. you can either punch or kick and and have the COM bash your head in. Or you can ONLY use the elbow (Punch & Jump at the same time) and beat the ever living crap out of the game. dont get me wrong, i love the good ol' fashioned beat'em-up just as much as anyone, but it's my next point that made the gameplay sourly stick out and ultimately kills Double Dragon X360. The slowdown/framerate is plain pitiful. dispicable. horrible. an atrocity. There is absolutely no reason for a game that was made in 1980-something to have the same framerate as a game that was made in 2007. None. They updated the graphics & music so you know there was somebody was working on it. They even added online co-op. But unfortunately they only looked at the pictures and listened to the music because you can tell nobody bothered to play the game before they released it. I did end up buying it for 400pts ($5) anyway because i thought it would be a nice addition to my collection and I wanted to see if i can get all the achievements. They sounded a little rough, but the elbow move once again proved who's boss. Still, it's a decent pickup for those who remember and liked the arcade original. but buyer beware for those of you who started playing videogames in the mid 90's. You wont like it.
