A classic worth playing

Now this is old school gaming. Back in the day you had to have skill. continues were limited and so were quarters. So if you had no skill and no money you should not even apply to games like this.

Billy and Jimmy Lee went through a lot of changes over the years, but this is where it all started. This arcade classic had gamers putting in quarter after quarter with the hopes of rescuing Billy's girlfriend (which got to be a tired premise for games) Marion. When the game starts I always thought a few things were wrong. Like why was she just standing there, Why couldnt you catch up to her there hadnt gone that far when you come out of that garage and so forth. Anyway with that all behind us lets talk gaming.

This version maintians all the original gameplay with the complete functionality of a controller instead of a joystick which fr me is a good thing. You can control Billy or Jimmy with ease and little effort. Although the elbow move (which is much needed) gets a little tricky on the 360 controller, but nevertheless gets the job done. You kick, punch, elbow, and dish out pain through 5 stages which arent that hard. It turns out to be a good beat em up that is good for pick up and play fun.

The sound is still in-tact with all the grunts, yelps, growls, and other oddities of the arcade. There wasnt too much to sound in the old days except for that as all us older gamers know talking wasnt yet a mainstay.

The Graphics to me still are a brilliant achievement for the time it came out and still looks good. Not many games allowed you to interact or had the animations this game had when it debuted. The full nelson the enemy put you in was good and the punches and grabs also well done.

The achievement points in this one are easy and should take you no longer than 2 days to get assuming you play it for a whle. All in all it was worth the points i spent to get it and I recomended it for a good old time romp. PEACE
