I recently played through both doom games while waiting on ME3 to arrive, Im still playing through that now.. While doom may be outdated visually and somewhat gameplay wise it is still an incredibley fun experience going through them again.. The original doom when it originally came out I played through that single player and multiplayer countless times.. Even after all the years of not playing it I was pleased to find that I remembered where almost all of the secret areas were.. The enemies in there design and simplicity Im not sure have been rivaled by many games.. Its almost burned into your brain the sight of a pinky demon munching on your face while you slip with a chainsaw.. The weapons are all great and are much more vital for weapon switching on Ultra violence in Doom 2.. Save ammo by slicing down pinkies with the chainsaw or you will probably run out.. I was still somewhat in awe at doom 2 while playing it on Ultra violence of the encounters with huge swarms of tough enemies.. Doom and Doom 2 are part of me the amount of time I put into the games.. They still remain some of my favorite games of all time.. The xbox versions aren't altered too much from the originals except that Doom includes Thy Fleshed Consumed episode which was too difficult for me, and the No Rest for the Living episode from Doom 2 which I still haven't gotten to play.. THere are some new sound effects here and there and overall if you want some nostalgia its definitley worth playing them on xbox for the achievements to
