No matter how old this game is. It will alway's be a great classic

User Rating: 10 | DOOM: Collector's Edition PC
The Doom Collector's Edition contain's three game's. The Ultimate Doom, Doom2, and Final Doom.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is awesome you get to shoot enemie's with many different weapon's. Weapon's range from pistols, shotguns, double barrel shotguns, gattling guns, plasma guns, rocket launchers, and the BFG 9000. You can even use the your left fist to punch the heck out of your enemie's. You'll encounter many different enemie's from Hell, like imps, pinkie demons, revenants, Barons of Hell, and the Cyberdemon, plus a couple of other's. Along your way to defeat the forces of Hell, you can pick up a many different power-ups, like invuneralbility which let's you take unlimited amounts of damage for a short while, invisibilty which let's you turn invisible and get the slip on your enemie's for a while, and of course the beserk power-up, which let's you kill your enemie's with just one hit with the fist. You can also pick up some armor and ammo for your weapons. There are also a lot of level's. About thirty something on one game, and about ninety something all together. That is a lot of levels. The level's change as you progress through the game. You will start off in a hangar and make your way into Hell. You can't jump in the game but you can sprint leap to get to certain areas. You have an unlimited amount of live's, so when you die you get to restart the level, and all of the enemie's that you killed will come back to life, and the item's that you have collected have been restored to there original location's. It's better than starting from the beginning of the game. There are also hidden areas, and level's that you can find which have weapons, power-ups, and enemie's. The collector's edition even come's with a sneak-peek of Doom 3 for the pc. There are five different diffulculty level's that you can choose from depending on your skill. The game also has multiplayer. After you finish each level you will see your stats, like how many eneimies you killed, how many secret's you found, and how many item's you have collected. The game sure does have a lot of stuff in it.

Sound:
The sound is great. You can here the demon's making noises and chomping sound's even though you can't see any, and the sound's they make when you kill them are pretty cool too. Your character will even make groans as he takes damage. The game also has a very weird soundtrack. Which play's a little bit of light rock, and then some nice little eerie tone's to it, which make's the game so awesome.

Graphics:
The graphics are pretty nice for a twelve year old game, but all the level's can almost look the same sometime's. You got your hangar looking level's and you got your Hell looking level's. The game also uses sprites as enemies, and not only that but the three game's are al pretty similar to each other not much variety between the three, but oh well. The game is pretty old so I can't complain.

Overall:
The game is revolutionary. This game is what really what started it all. The game even had some controversey. Goverment officials thought it had excessive gore, and taught our youth violence. If they had looked ten year's in the future they would drop dead. The game is an instant classic. You cannot call yourself a true shooter fan with out ever playing Doom or it's sequels.
