The classics have never been so much fun.

User Rating: 7.5 | Donkey Kong NES
It's time for the Donkey Kong review! For the NES.

This is the second NES title I am gonna review. Let's get started.

We are now gonna go back to the '80s where in this game, Mario was known as Jumpman, the Princess is NOT Peach, she was known as Pauline, and Donkey Kong was a villain.

This review is gonna be short, mainly because there isn't much to say. Basically you play as Jumpman, who's job is to rescue Pauline from the evil Donkey Kong. Along the way, DK will be throwing barrels down at you and you need to avoid them by jumping over them. If you get hit you lose a life. There are 3 levels and they are very different.

The graphics were fine for the time. It was the NES in the '80s, so I'm not really expecting TOO much. However I could've swore this version was more colorful.

The controls work good. This game was from Animal Crossing, as I mentioned before, so when I'm talking about the controls, I'm talking about Gamecube controls.

Donkey Kong is a pretty fun game! I don't see why Gamespot gave the VC version a 4.6. The game is still very fun to play after almost 20 years. It's on the Virtual Console for 500 Wii Points, and like Excitebike, if you have extra Wii Points, buy it.

This game gets a 7.5 out of 10 with the title of Good.
