Title name says it all! Donkey Kong returns with an all-new great adventure, old-school style.

User Rating: 10 | Donkey Kong Country Returns WII

My 60th review after Super Mario Sunshine.

Ahhh, I bought this game today (November 29th, 2010) at Best Buy and played it today, and it really is a great game. I find this game is better than Barrel Blast and is just like the classic SNES Donkey Kong Country games, which are also just as great. It's about the Tikis have taken all the Kongs bananas and it's up to Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to get them back. This game is gonna get an A! Here the results:

Gameplay 9/10: Outstanding fun and thrills that returns to the SNES Donkey Kong Country gameplay style like the title says! It even has replay value and neat level designs as well as new things added and even Cranky Kong's shop that allows you to buy items, extra lives, and keys to unlock extra levels. The only problem, however, is it's occasionally very frustrating difficulty, even time trial mode and the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel levels, but it still has that old school challenge.

Graphics 10/10: Pretty nice and colorful the way they should be.

Controls 3/10: While it has nice sense of motion controls, sometimes the controls may be clunky.

Sound/Music 10/10: The soundtrack is catchy and PERFECT the way they should be!

Lasting Appeal 10/10: One of the biggest animated platform games of all-time!

Overall, Donkey Kong Country Returns can be one of the greatest games on the Wii you can ever have in your video game collection.

The Good:

-Title name says it all! It returns to the old school classic Donkey Kong Country gameplay style.

-Old school challenge

-Cranky Kong's shop allowing you to buy cool items, extra lives, and keys to unlock extra levels

-Delightful music

-The other player can play as Diddy Kong

-Contains replay value and many new content

-Very neat level designs

-Nice sense of motion controls

The Bad:

-Clunky controls even though it has nice sense of motion controls as mentioned above

-The absence of King K. Rool, the Kremlings, and many other Kongs

-Sometimes very frustrating difficulty, even time trial mode as well as the Mine Cart and Rocket Barrel levels can be frustrating too

-Rambi is the only playable animal character as the other playable animal characters are absent

You know what would've been cool? They should make another 3D Donkey Kong game similar to Donkey Kong 64. That would've been awesome! I hope they make one like Donkey Kong 64. Well good day everyone, that's the end of my review.

Donkey Kong Country Returns gets a 10 out of 10!
