I don't understand the bad reviews, It's the only recent game that gave me that fresh feeling that has been long lost.
I played many games in my life and after a while everything feels dated or "been there done that feeling", with the game industry making sequel after sequel with the same mechanics and predictable story I got really bored of videogames recently .. I tried the demos of dead space 3 and mgs rising and felt very disappointed.
Although I understand devs are scared of making something new because an error could cost them bankruptcy I wonder how long for will people fall for the same COD or Battlefield each year.
So far I'm loving the story, comparing it to DMC 4's is so much better, DMC4's story felt like an afterthought. Detailed, intriguing and interesting.
When I play action games I barely care about the plot but this one actually made me.
The characters are cool I guess I understand why people hate the new Dante, but you have to take this game from another prospective, it's a reboot and it's very different from the old DMCs. The new Dante looks more stylish and interesting to be honest it's not the 90's anymore guys..
The graphics are pretty amazing, the devs have obviously spent an enormous time developing each level.
The combat system is really good even though there's no target lock I didn't have issues playing and frankly I don't really miss it.
The upgrade system is cleverly designed each level you get new moves or toys to play with, the devil trigger recharges pretty fast ( I remember I always had issues with how slow it was).
Anyways I'm really loving it and I'm sorry it's not having the warm reception it should have. These devs had the testes to do what they did and I praise them.
