Awesome good old action RPG, don't believe those who say it's hard, with the right approach the game rocks!

User Rating: 9.5 | Divinity II: Ego Draconis PC
First of all, Divinity 2 Ego Draconis is a sequel to Larian Studios' previous games Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, for those who didn't play those - they are good games too. You don't have to play them before playing Divinity 2, but there are some references that you'll be able to understand better if you've played the previous games.
I'll put it simple: the game is awesome. Graphics are top notch and if you have a system to handle it - the game looks amazing. You can choose to be a warrior, a ranger, or a mage, but which class you choose at first doesn't matter because you can put your skillpoints in any skill from any class. It works very good, as a warrior you might choose some warrior's combat skill and also some mage's mana leech skill, etc. The game has this special Mindread skill which allows you to read people's mind and works really good because you can find out some valuable information which can help you solve a quest or find a treasure. There is a cost, however, each mindread costs some of your XP, so you have to decide what's more important to you.
Lots of people are complaining that the game is too hard or that there is no way to change difficulty. First of all, there is a a difficulty slider in options menu. Second, if you're used to games like Oblivion where all enemies are same level as your character - you're going to be disappointed. In Divinity 2, just like in all good RPGs (in my opinion), the enemies are not leveled so, pay attention to the enemies' level. If it's higher than your character's, than it is a good idea to go explore a different area where enemies are same level as you or lower, and come back later. You might want to lower the difficulty if you end up dying too much.
Flying as a dragon is pure awesomeness. Your dragon form has his own skills which you can upgrade by finding dragon skill books and using them. Also, flying as dragon may help you save time in some areas, since it's a lot faster to fly than walk.
I did, however, noticed some minor bugs in dialogues. But nothing that a simple patch wouldn't fix.
The story might not be as engaging as in DA:O. You'll end up doing side quests most of the time, at least, that's what I recommend, to receive valuable experience and levels. I usually try to do as much side quests in an area as possible before continuing the main quest. I'm only half way through the game so I can't judge the entire story.
Overall, Divinity 2 is a great old school hack-n-slash RPG with monsters, loot, levels, and XP - everything you would expect from an RPG, and even more - abilities to jump and dodge enemy missiles are invaluable, especially in the early part of the game when your character is not very strong. The quests are interesting and the puzzles are fun. If you're a fan of Divine Divinity or any other action RPG, you'll love this game.
P.S: C'mon, Gamespot, what's wrong with you? only 6.5? This game deserves at least 7.5
