It's hard to find honest reviews for games aimed at young kids, because most likely it's not the kids writing the reviews. It's older kids or even adults who for some reason thought this game would satisfy them even though it's aimed at a much younger audience.

My son is 3.5 and absolutely in love with Little Einsteins. Having watched hours upon hours of the show, I am very familiar with the characters and concepts and I can absolutely say this game scratches the itch for Little Einstein fans.

It has everything from the theme music do the patting sequence (you have to actually tap the buttons to pat along with the characters, too cute!) and right down to Rocket's signature "jingle" when you're going through the flying stages.

The gameplay is very simplistic but stays true to the premise of the show, which is following musical clues as you explore classical music and art. Now, your little one may not have any idea what music or art they are looking at if they are not yet old enough to read the descriptions because there is no spoken text in the game. Though they may recognize them from the show and hum along as my son does! I still can't get over the looks on people's faces when my 3.5 year old is humming Mozart while we're grocery shopping. ;)

It would have put my tot's excitement level over the top had they used included spoken text, but it's still a hit with our little guy anyway. I would gauge the difficulty between 2-4 years, depending how adept your child is with the controls. The concepts are very easy to understand, so you may find your child guiding you as you take control.

All in all, it's worth $10-$15 if you can find it in your local bargain bin. Consoles are sorely lacking quality titles for younger audiences and very few of them add anything educational into the mix. It's worth a try for that fact alone. Still, Leapster is our favorite handheld but occasionally Mommy has to share her DS and PSP and it's nice to have something appropriate for him to enjoy.
