More TV show based games should be like this.
You play as the greedy scrooge mcduck, hes like the wario of disney. Money and rare treasures are whats on his mind. 5 different levels are there for scrooge to investigate and wonder through to locate those treasures, But many baddies are there to stop him from progressing further. Its up to you to escort scrooge through these dangerous areas without harming that greedy old duck.
The game feels like every other platformer of its time, but at the same time it is its own unique game with its own unique style. Running and jumping are two main things you see in platformers. But I dont think we see ducks bouncing on canes to defeat enimes often. Thats the way scrooge attacks his enimies and his way to open treasure chests. The game runs smooth and theres no problem what so ever with the controls.
The graphics are very nice for the NES. Its colorful and vibrant. It shoots out right at you. Everything is just so easy on the eyes. The music is simply amazing. The background music for the moon stage is in my opinion one of the best video game level music I have ever heard in my life. It reminds me a lot about megaman, would make sense since it was made by capcom who are the masterminds behind the famous megaman series.
This game really isnt like the tv show but that doesnt make a difference. Its still about everyones favorite greedy duck. If you are a platformer freak like I am then you really need to check this one out. Try getting it on ebay or someplace similar. It is totally worth it.
