Aladdin was a great platformer for both the Genesis and the SNES, however they were distinct and different games that you could enjoy without too much direct comparison. While if I was forced to choose I might go with the Genesis version, the SNES version was a great title that is and was often overshadowed by a great Genesis game of the same name. The Graphics are average for a 16-bit generation game, but do nothing experimental with the scheme either. The sound is average, but lacks in many respects due to an overall shortage of sounds in what could have been a delightful soundscape. You get the obligatory songs from the movie that you couldn’t do without, and a few base tracks (the Jaffar one is slightly menacing and is effective in that).
Aladdin is an awesome game for an outdated system. Definitely worth the $5 you can probably find it for, heck I would even probably pay $7 if I had too.
