High production values, flawless graphics, and a lot of fun.
How this game has suffered such negative responses from critics and players alike is a mystery to me. It's awesome!
I've read a lot about how the camera controls ruin the game. This is absolute nonsense; the camera controls are just as you'd expect from any 3rd person 3D platform game. Sometimes the camera does things you might not expect, like turning the action into 2D. You can tell it's deliberate, and it's clever and fun.
The framerate is rock solid, the visuals are gorgeous, the sound is first rate, the controls are responsive and easy to use, the production values in general are among the best you can find on the Wii.
I think that given the very mixed reactions to this game, however baffling that is to me, it's one to rent before buying.
Maybe, like me, you'll recognize a masterpiece when you see one.
