I tried hard to enjoy Epic Mickey but there are a good amount of flaws that keep this game from being great.

User Rating: 7 | Disney Epic Mickey WII
Story: 8/10
While there is no voice acting, Epic Mickey contributes to the classics, a time when there was no voice acting and everything was delivered through great animation, and Epic Mickey is no exception, Epic Mickey has a great and deep story which dosen't even need to be told by voice actors.
Graphics: 7/10
At times, Epic Mickey can look fantastic with a smooth frame rate and of coarse the great art direction, at others the levels can feel a bit shallow. But fans that love the mouse will probably overlook it thanks to the constant nostalgia it packs.
Gameplay: 6/10
This is the game's main problems, now i'm not going to say that the camera sucks to the point where the game is unplayable like most reviewers, but I will say it can be annoying at times but that's beside the point. The main problem I have with Epic Mickey is the fetch quests and the fact that rather than loading screens you have to go back and forth into the 2D levels, which are fun at first but painfully boring after you went in it about 4-5 times. The fetch quests are the main cause of this and while some of these are optional, you'll have to do some if you want to progress through the game. Painting and Thinning Objects can be pretty neat and the boss fights are actually pretty fun. Another problem I have is the combat between enemies, you can either paint or thin them, but the camera can be so ridiculous at times, that you'll end up taking a cheap hit only because you couldn't see. Also, the control layout feels abit awkward at first but you get used to it.
Sound: 6.5/10
While the music in the cut scenes are great the in game music is forgettable and the constant smirks the characters make are hard to choose between adorable or flat out annoying.
Lasting Appeal: 8/10
There's plenty to do and the game is about 15 hours long the first time through, there really isn't any multiple endings but rather a slight difference in which a scene pops up on whether or not you painted or thinned a specific boss. With that said you could go back and get the collectibles but I think after 1 go, you probably won't jump back into it.

Final Verdict: 7.0 Good
(Actual Score: 7.2)

Now, am I saying Epic Mickey sucks? No, not at all its just that the fetch quests, the annoying camera, the tedious 2D sections, and the shallow level design at times hurt the game from being great. I tried really hard to enjoy the game but I just can't give it anything above a 7/10. If you love Mickey Mouse you should definitely check it out, if not, maybe your better off skipping or renting, who knows you might like it.
