Disappointing, repetitive, horrible control, worse camera!

This game was totally disappointing! After all the hype, this was a total let down! We pre-ordered the game because of the hype, the developer's reputation, and the fact that my wife loves Mickey. The graphics are mediocre, the music is pretty cool, especially the way it gets more intense when enemies are near and more tranquil when it's calm. The score is kind of surreal and is different for different levels. However, there is very limited voice acting; it's pretty much just in the intro video. Mickey makes about 4 different action sounds. He doesn't even do his trademark laugh. The game controls are so sluggish and imprecise that you're constantly getting killed. The paint/thinner control aiming is unbelievably bad. I was just watching my wife play a scene where you have to stop rotating gears by thinning them (a constantly repeating theme). In this one, there's floor underneath you that can also be thinned. You can aim way up high on a e gear and as soon as you try to thin the gear, it melts the floor, dropping Mickey into the thinner below. This happens repeatedly from different angles, making the level frustrating beyond belief.. Fighting, maneuvering Mickey, jumping, etc are all sluggish and imprecise. As bad as the control is, the camera is worse. It'll often face a wall or any seemingly random direction instead of rotating to a decent view. You can rotate the camera yourself, but it doesn't always work, or is limited. Even if it didn't have the control and camera issues, the levels are kind of repetitive. And, when you die, it restarts at the beginning of the level, no matter what puzzles you've finished. All of these elements make playing the game so frustrating that you just want to trash it. I can't believe that Warren Spector put his name and reputation behind this dog. I hope it's not something he plans on repeating!
