A fantastically atmospheric, gripping and engaging experience; with a few minor flaws.

I wasn't too sure about the game when it was first announced and showcased in demos. It seemed to be a poor clone of Bioshock, but even though there are many similarities in gameplay style as Bioshock, Dishonored provides the players with a great FPS experience with RPG elements.Storyline: Not a masterpiece, but it is gripping and interesting enough to keep you on edge and question everyone around you. Some abilities will allow you to gain a more "insightful" look into what people are hiding, which makes the game feel much more engaging.Video: Game is not particularly sharp when it comes to graphics, but it is expected from the Unreal Engine. However, the attention to detail and intricate level design makes up for the lack of finesse.Audio: Great voice acting and environmental effects makes the game incredibly immersive. The "rat" noises is almost disturbing when they "go to work". rnGameplay: It is comparable to Bioshock's dual hand weapon system with supernatural powers and standard weapons. Customisation is available, but lacks completion and is far to straight forward to be effective. Combat is a blend between Assasin's creed and again Bioshock, where you can hide and assasinate, drop down from heights, take enemies out from a distance, or simply fight head on. The brutality is satisfying, but doesn't feel rewarding as the game becomes repetitive. The Bad: The stealth element of the game is poorly built. Cover doesn't seem to be interactive, there are no indications on weather some covers/areas can or cannot be used to hide, you will have to try to find out. This defects the purpose of stealth, where you will have to test each cover which usually results in failure and forced to engage the enemy. This game is definitely worth your time, there is a lot of freedom in how to deal with situations. If you can look pass the graphics and incomplete stealth mechanics, the game will offer you a great gaming experience.
