Same old fun from Disgaea, but that isn't a bad thing. Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories delivers a cult classic again!!

I remember my days with Disgaea, the times we laugh and the fun we shared. It was a true match made in heaven. Laying down to rest I recalled myself saying... only if Disgaea was a woman I would marry her.

Then I meet Disgaea's dirty sister Disgaea 2, I wonder if she would live up to her older, yet hot, sister, not only was she similar to her sister she was full of laughter and good times. Ah I hope these days never end.

GAMEPLAY:
Its all old school here. Nothing has changed from the original and that isn't a bad thing. All the familiar features from the original exist with a few extras to throw into the mix. The dark assembly, in which you pass bills to help your party are done with democratic fashion. Several classes of characters are here for the taking, some old, some new. Combat is all the same as it was in Disgaea. The field is set up in a tactical fashion, where you and your enemies take turns bopping each other on the head. Whole slues of special techniques are at your disposal, their entertaining to watch and use.

GRAPHICS:
The graphics are exactly like Disgaea one which is sort of disappointing sense a highly rendered Enta would make my day. Still the cartoony feel and beautiful will be a different vision to those who are new to the series. Cutscenes are taken care of with a clever news broadcasting system. Where cameo appearance of Plainer from Disgaea sits there and says nothing will the person next to her goes on about what you have done in a previous or upcoming chapter.

SOUND:
Music in Disgaea 2 is very well done, ranging from rock to orchestral. The witty voice acting and dialog will make you split a lunge laughing for a long time. The VO itself is pretty good and well done by the actors. The music used in game is has been heard for the original Disgaea. However that doesn't stop some new flicks to be heard through out the game. Everything matches up great.

REVIEWER OPINION:
Its worth a buy! If you have the original or not there are plenty of goodies in Disgaea. Not only is it funny, but the replay value is off the scale.
