Pratchett Goes Interactive
armed with nothing more than a notebook and the traditional Morporkian weapon of a half-brick in a sock, you have to contend with the likes of Commander Vimes of the City Watch, Kleptomaniac dwarves, Rampaging golems, werewolves on the prowl, the unseen horrors of the Guild of Assassins and CMOT Dibblers dreaded pork pies.
like all games of its genre, Discworld Noir has to be the kind of game you like, as there arent any punchups or shoot outs, but its a fantastic game. its got the witty comments of monkey island in the mean streets of Ankh-Morpork, with the story straight from Mr Pratchett himself, so you know its got to be good. a sharp mind is required here to solve the puzzles here but if you can do it its a great thrill (and a laugh) all the way through to the finale. loads of the characters from the books are there, from Nobby Nobbs to Lord Vetriani, as well with some new friends and foes to either ask for assistance or beat off with a stick. the graphics are pretty good but not allways fantastic, but wont leave you feeling you've been ripped off, nothing abysmal, and the voice acting is superb.
all in all, a fantastic game, especially for Monkey Island or Pratchett fans, but not for people who like to explode stuff (or at least intentionally.)
defiantly worth buying if you can find it!
