Colin Mcrae DiRT 2 is an excellent / fun game with stunning visuals and audio.
Rally events involves completeing a challenging track, with a co driver to set the best time of the stage to win.
Trailblazer events take part on long, open point to point tracks. The goal is similar to normal rally.
Raid are multi car races on point to point stages. The stage may contain different routes and shortcuts. This is a great mode with up to 8 players on the track together.
Land Rush is pretty much the same as raid except this race type is held on a circuit completing a number or laps. This mode usually contains jumps, insane twists and banks.
Rally Cross events usually are held on tight level tracks with both tramac and gravel sections with mulitple cars on the track at once.
Gate Crasher events are events held on a rally circuit with gates you should hit to earn time bonuses. You start the stage with a limited amount of time and to complete the race you need to hit a number of gates to increase your time. The player with the biggest time bonus at the end wins the event.
Domination is held on a circuit in which a players compete. The circuit is usually split into 3 laps, and each lap split into quarters. The player then must set the best time in each quarter to achieve maximum points. After the first lap you need to try and hold your quarter or beat it to acheive more points.
Last Man Standing is an event with up to 8 racers on the track at once. The race starts with up to 8 players and the player in last place at the end of the time gets eliminated until there is only one player remaining who then wins the event.
I highly recommend this game to any person who loves rally or car racing games. This game has excellent visuals and audio. The game features many rally legends and the latest rally cars like the Mitsubishi Evolution 10 amongst older cars as well.
