Digimon World DS might have just done the impossible.

User Rating: 9 | Digimon Story DS
Growing up,Digimon always appealed to me more then Pkemon anime wise, Pokemon had terrible voice actors and way to many non-important filler episodes. Digimon had a ton of great episodes back as a kid. But I always hated the Digimon games as a kid, I bought Owrld's,1,2,3 and still could not enjoy it. I bought some GBAS, and when playing my gameboy I always turned to Pokemon. Until8 years a go when I got Digimon World 4 and i had some fun playing with my friends but still it wasn't to fun. Finally 4 years a go back when I was 12 my Parents go this game for me. I laughed at it;what 12 year old would want to play a game full of kidish monsters anymore? Well it changed my mind, playing through all Digimon World DS and dieing about 500 billion times to the final boss, I was very satisfied with the 40-70 Hours I spent on the game. I bought Pokemon Pearl the next year and was very disappointed, and as soon as I beat pokemon pearl, I restarted my digimon game having fun on the side quests and great story yet again. I have beaten this game 3 times in 4 years, trust me its very addictive. I say get this, its one of my favorite game son the DS it has a unique scanning system. You know in pokemon where you use pokeballs right? Well here depending how many times you meat a digimon(excluding bosses) you will collect 10-15-20-25 percent of there data dependence what rank you are (in the stories you start of as a normal rank and go up completing side quest and missions intill you finsih the main main quest to go up a rank. The ranks are:normal-bronze-silver-gold-platinum. Its keeps you occupied. SO back to getting Digimon once you meat a Digimon enough times and get up to 100 of there data(which means you will have to meat the Digimon 5 times at least and that can be a hassle if your looking for a rare one) but once you get a 100 percent of there data you feel veyr accomplished. The game also encourages you get 3 versions of the same digimon if you want t have all 3 fomrs of it. You see unlike pokemon wher ea pokemon evolves at a certian level and you have to keep pressing B if you dont want it to evolve, you can evolve your digimon anytime you want my going to the menu clicking the digimon and clicking digivolve. Certain stats might also have to be obtained the Digivolve like a certain amount of strength or stuff like that. You will also get to talk to Digimon in this game. So overall GameSpot STRONGLY underrated this game. Pleas get it, its onlt 15 bucks at Gamestop and its very worth it.
