Mediocre game that for some reason, I played to death.

Basically, Digimon Rumble Arena is a 2D fighting game that has the all the same modes that you can atypically find in a fighting game. And back when it was released, the Digimon craze was still ongoing, and I could never stop yapping about the show (which I liked at the time but don't now) as well as shaking my Tamagochi-like Digimon thingy (I forgot its name... was it Digivice?).

Anyway, the game is pretty decent, but the only thing I actually remember is the hours we spent playing multiplayer! Hundreds upon hundreds of versus matches, and because it was local (obviously), me and my siblings had a fun time mostly because we had our own jokes that added to the experience.

But now, I have higher standards, and if I were to play alone, I'd say that Digimon is a derivative game that only caters to fans. Additionally, it's also forgettable- multiplayer with my siblings only being the one moment of the game I remember.

    Sure this game doesn't have much characters and arenas as the 2nd one but the digivolution system is less annoying plus the fact that the arenas are not as big as the 2nd one, you can see the characters better and there ... Read Full Review
