Good not only for digimon fans, but also for SSB fans; it is a bit short though.

I've been a digimon fan for a while, and seeing this title, I just could not resist getting it. I expected a simple, KOF: MI-type game, but what I found was a platform-fighter similar to Super Smash Bros. Melee in many ways. Gameplay: Very solid. You pick one of a few digimon from the first four seasons of the show, then you go into a pyramid tournament of events. This seemed a cool idea at first, but you can find this to easily get you through the whole game in a few hours. Simply go on easy mode, and go straight through to the lower middle boss. This guy took me 10+ tries to beat with Guilamon, but once he was unlocked, he proved to be the strongest digimon, flat-out. It's no trouble at all to use him to beat all of the other bosses. In fact, I unlocked two of the evil data digimon and then the boss using him in one go. Still, once you unlock everything, the multiplayer goes over well. Graphics: The graphics seemed spit-shined, considering how little of the ps2's graphic power is usually used. The backgrounds were well-worked, and the game has an overall blend of dark graphics as well as bright, fluffy graphics. Sound: A nice bit of techno and pulsating computer beeps held this game together well, and the voice acting for the digimon seemed fine (keep in mind, I have the Japanese version of this game, so voices are different). Value: If you're playing single player, the lasting value won't go too well. However, if you have three friends (the multitap really helps with this one), then you could spend days playing it. I wouldn't spend more than 35-40 bucks on this game, in price value. Tilt: I have no clue what this means. Overall: A good game in many ways, but it feels like it passes by too quickly. Also, some more digimon (Terriermon is teh coolest) would have set this over a bit better.
