Diddy Kong Racing

Maybe on paper, the idea for Rare to jump ship from Nintendo to Microsoft LOOKED like a good idea, but of course, it has turned into an absolute MESS for Rare. There's not a single game that they've RELEASED on a Microsoft console that is even CLOSE to the level of what Rare would consider an AVERAGE game...on the N.E.S.!!!! So it comes as no surprise to me that the last great game that Rare has made so far, is available ON a Nintendo system! While I've played a little bit of this game on the N64, I was never really good at it, and I never really understood what it was I had to do or all the things I had to accomplish, it just seemed like too much. But in this DS remake, the graphics have been polished up, the sound effects and music sound better than ever, there's now an option to customize the way your vehicles look, and by collecting Rare coins (pun intended!), you can also upgrade your vehicles to make them faster and race better! My personal favorite racers are Bumper and Timber. If you're looking for a good example of what a great game from Rare is SUPPOSED to look like, look no further than "Diddy Kong Racing DS." I highly recommend it for fans of the kart racing genre. Enough said, true believers!
