Can't describe the game in words, you must play it!

I'm writing this review because I think this is one of the best PC games ever made and I just wanted to tell the world what the game is about for me.

Graphics

Graphic is the one thing Diablo 2 doesn't have the best.If you play the game and the only thing you will look at is the graphic than better don't even start. Many people say the graphics are terrible but I think they are pretty good. Just by looking at the the skills in Diablo 2 you can see that they have worked with the graphics and have done an amazing job, I mean the way that the fire is spit from Diablo's mouth or from the lightning that the sorceress can make out of her wand. The graphics are very tasty for your eyes.

Sound

Diablo 2 soundtrack is very simple and pleasing for your ears. Music in Diablo 2 is one of the best I've heard in any game. The music doesn't get on your nerve like in some other games and it's not like there is no music at all. The song I like the best from all the game is the one that starts when you go trough the portal into the destroyed town from Diablo one, to save Deckard Cain. the song is a bit sad but in the same time it feels so great to listen to it.

Big part of the game is the actual sound not the music. Because if you play the game from the start till the end that will take about 12 hours and if you want to play it again with another character class or on harder difficulty level you will have to face the sounds of slashing monsters, walking or running, picking up stuff and dropping them, buying stuff and selling stuff, drinking health and mana potions and other sounds many times over for a long long time. The sounds do get annoying after about 10 to 15 hours of gameplay but when you play the over after a year or two you begin to appreciate them and they kinda start to sound really nice to your ears. Especially the sound of picking up diamonds and other rare stuff which eventually doesn't seem to drop so rare. Put together the sound is amazing and even these days there are just a few bunch of games with so much work done on the sound as Diablo 2 has.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very simple since it's a hack and sash game you just need a weapon and off you go to kill some zombies or other creatures from hell. Even without a weapon you can hit and actually do some damage. As I said the gameplay is very simple and very thought trough. There are five character classes and every one of them has a different skill tree with loads of skills. You can unlock them with skill points which you given whenever you gain a new level. I usually did all the game ending with level 22 or 24 but it takes level 32 to unlock the best skills there are so you have to do all over again on harder difficulty level or kill some foes on normal mode to gain new levels. You can go to any act and any place in any time by using portals. Whenever you go out of the game and come back in the monsters will reappear sometimes its useful for getting more experience points but sometimes it's annoying to kill them all over just to get further on the story. It's fun to do the game with every character class there if because of the skill tree and doing the game on harder difficulty is fun to because it gets even more interesting and well you get stronger and gain new skills. In all the game there are 4 acts and about 4 or 5 cinematic trailers and they are really great and very interesting to watch. They are not too long and not too short, they come in the right time after you kill the act's boss and it gives you some time to relax from killing monsters. They are very exciting to watch because it gives you some mystery to solve and takes you further on the story.

Story

Blizzard has really worked on Diablo's story cause it took me in and I wanted more and more. Everything starts of with a mystery and well seeing the Diablo. The people are at struggle for survival while the evil is growing stronger and stronger. You are here to destroy the evil and provide Diablo and his brothers from rising hell upon earth. Of course everything doesn't go as planed and Diablo actually rises hell upon earth but at the end you kill him and well save the world from destruction. there are some complications on the way which make the game even more interesting. The story the game tells you is amazing and very interesting. It's definitely one of Diablo 2 strong sides.

Game design

I can't say the design is gothic but sometimes you get the gloomy and chilly feeling. I'd say the design does the thing it's meant to do
like when you are at act 3 you get actually feel like you are there and everything is wet but maybe it's because I was constantly drinking something in act 2- the desert . It just felt so real and it made me drink and drink. design is just the right for the game there is nothing else I can say.

Multiplayer

I can't say much about multiplayer mode either cause I did just a bit of it and from what I did it seemed the same as single player just with couple more people and well if they aren't your friends they usually do nothing or just make the game terrible for you by getting on your nerve and following you all the time picking up the good stuff that drops out of the monsters you kill. Basically the same as single player though you can trade with others and see a lot of high level folks with cool unseen armor and weapons.

That's about it and I'm sorry for my bad English, hope you liked the review.
