Devil May Cry was released by Capcom to keep fans busy until they finished Resident Evil for the Gamecube. Knowing this fact, you probably wouldn't expect this game to be great, but it is. Devil May Cry has a cheesy story, but the awesome action-packed gameplay makes up for it. In Devil May Cry, you play as Dante, a half demon, half man hybrid sort of thing. You pull off crazy stunts and stylish attacks with your swords and guns. The gameplay is loads of fun and the varieties of enemies are all really cool. The boss fights are extremely well done and are some of the most fun I've had on the PS2. Devil May Cry had gorgeous graphics when it first came out, and although they are somewhat dated now, five years ago they were great. The audio is pretty good in this game. The voice acting isn't great and the music is a little repetitive, but all the sound effects are good. The variation in gameplay, many difficulty levels, and unlockable stuff make this a game that will last you for a while. Devil May Cry is a stylish game with crazy attacks and lots to do and even though it's five years old, it is still a lot of fun.
