A very fun game, but very difficult

When I first got this game, I had no idea what it was about. I didn't see any reviews and no one told me about it so I had to go in hoping that it was a good game. It wasn't a good game... It was an amazing game! Okay, let's start with the story: The game is about a demon hunter named Dante who is led to the ruler of the underworld's (Mundus) castle by a mysterious woman named Trish who resembles Dante's mother. Oh, I had forgot to mention that Dante's family was killed by demons so that's why he became a demon hunter.
The Graphics: The graphics were amazing for its time, Dante looks awesome and the Gothic structure of the place was pretty cool. The enemies for this game were well done as well, with a lot of them being very original style.
The Game Play: I freaking love the game play! The "stylish" combat was pretty cool and the sword + guns combos can be pretty fun to pull off and very satisfying. The only problem I had with the game was its difficulty and its length. In "normal" difficulty, its almost impossible to beat (for me anyways, i barely beat it on easy). Its obvious that they made the game difficult to make the short game last longer but that wasn't needed, the game is so fun that the replay value is pretty high. Another problem I had was the character development, there wasn't enough cutscenes in the game to help support the story and it gives us a break from the constant action. All in all, its a great game and a classic for the PS2 library. I strongly recommend this game.
