Devil Kings is more than just a Dynasty Warriors clone.

Okay, I'll admit it! At first, I thought this game would be just a blatant Dynasty/Samurai Warriors knock-off. But... As I played through the conquest mode with about nine of the characters(Who are really awesome) I came to this conclusion. Devil Kings is not a rip-off of DW/SW. It's BETTER! Devil Kings rocks! Never before has a game made me feel so awesome. It's from Capcom. The creators of such classic series as Street Fighter, Final Fight, and Mega Man. The formula of Dynasty Warriors is here. A bunch of enemies on screen screen at once? It's there. Officers? They've got that here, too. The need to worry about losing because you're commander's dead? Better still, That's one of the things that isn't here. At the start you have Scorpio(Yukimura Sanada in the JP version), Azure Dragon(Masamune Date), Devil King(Nobunaga Oda), Lady Butterfly(Nouhime), Red Minotaur(Shingen Takeda), and Venus(Kasuga). Alone the course you'll unlock Iron Ox(Tadakatsu Honda), Frost(Kenshin Uesugi), Puff(Itsuki), Q-Ball(Zabii), Talon(Sasuke Sarutobi), and Hornet(Ranmaru Mori). It IS like DW/SW but wilder and cooler. The only faults here are lack of co-op, A small roster, and the fact that there's actually a character named Q-Ball. Who names they're kid Q-Ball? Other than that Devil Kings - Known as Sengoku Basara in Japan - is an over-the-top and wild fun-fest that will make you feel AWESOME! Capcom should localize the sequel for us. Why do we call the genre Dynasty clones? It needs a new name. How about, um, Crowd Sweepers? That's not too bad. Nope. Not at all.-Dan B. Jr.
