Deus Ex Human Revolution is not your typical shooter.

I have only played the game for about 3 hours. It is incredible. The only bad thing is some of the characters in the game have basic Playstation 2 graphics-looking facial animations. Other than that the game is revolutionary and amazing. In world plagues by 5 hour long Middle Eastern shooters this game shines golden, literally. The gold colored art style gives a immersible sci-fi type of feeling and the ambient electronic music and art style is similar to the masterpiece that was Mirrors Edge.

Just from my limited play time I have seen at least 2 or 3 ways of approaching any situation. There are also, what appear to be, major choices to make throughout the game. Therefore with different approaches and choices you can easily replay the game and have ore fun with it. In your sneaky, guns blazing, or elbow-knife-stabbing adventures you will also encounter many characters to chat with, emails to read, ebooks to read, news television broadcasts to watch, which all give you a nice insight into what is going on in the game/ world. There are tons of upgrades you can choose for your character. The game reminds me a lot of Batman Arkham Asylum for some reason. Probably the way Adam (main character) moves throughout the game.

Even though the overall feel of the game is that of an RPG, it still has major shooter aspect to it. The guns have an excellent feel to them. The gunfire sound is great and the recoil seems perfect.

Buy it, you will not regret it.
