It's a game that came out at launch. It is a definitive version for the Wii U and it shows. The Wii U features stand out. The radar, the scope, the text, camera etc. It is pretty plain to see that Square put a lot of effort into the port for this game.
For the people who played it before, there may not be too many different surprises from the original. Some of the things that stood out for me were the Miiverse posting and the ability to record info logs. The graphics are really nice. Smoke effects, blur effects and nice textures. I really like the way the world looks and the way it feels.
I forgot that Square could make RPGs. It would be a sin to think this during their heyday. But after recent times it is easy to forget. I am glad I played this game. I can't get enough of it. I have Bayonetta 2 new and sealed next to me, and all I wanna do is start New Game + on Deus Ex. Way to go Square. I wish I could enjoy more of your efforts on Wii U, because these kinds of efforts deserve my money.
