Destruction Derby was an early release for the PS, and it shaped the way destruction derby games were made from then on. The game has 3 racing modes, wreckin' racing, in which you get points for finishing in 1st 2nd or 3rd, and points from spinning people out and smashing 'em up. The next mode is Stock, in which you just race for position, and lastly they just have destruction derby, where you are put into a bowl-like arena and smash each other up until your car, and everyone else, is destroyed.

The main game type you will play is Championship wreckin' racing, well, because it's the best one out of them all! You race a bunch of tracks, and for the final track you do the bowl. After you complete this, you go to the next season, which changes the team you're on, and changes up the tracks a little bit.

The game is excellent for its time, and DD2 was great too, but after that there isn't much to say, because the DD games started being made by different companies, which then led the series to die off, but it was a great game for its time.
