The Strike series did not contribute financially but it created a strong fanbase since the introduction of Desert Strike. The first game in the series lets to drive a Apache helicopter and carry on different mission, destroy enemy vehicles and rescue hostages. This game introduced some unique features. Unlike any other shoot em up chopper games, this game has an isometric view and you have to go to specific destination using the map and carry on the mission that you are asked. It can be destroying something, finding someone captive or capture someone or even escort allied vehicles. The missions are corelated to one another and one mission structure greatly affects the structure in other missions. Like in order to get into the airfield, you need to destroy rader sites and powerstation. During your mission, you also need to keep track on your ammnunitions, cargo space and fuel. Ammnunitions and fuel are scattered in the battlefield. You also get three weapons guns, hydras and hellfires, where hellfires being the most powerful but few. The storyline is deep and the game offers you a serious tactical gameplay. Although short, this game is revolutionary and worth playing.
