Demigod is a rare hybrid of gaming. Its focus is on the RTS form of strategic gameplay, but it also borrows heavily from the RPG form of customization and only controlling one unit. Demigod looks amazing with well build and in depth playing fields its fun just to zoom out with the camera and take in the whole thing. The demigod's themselves show an even greater attention to detail. Each demigod has its own unique style of gameplay and a skill tree that lets the player make their own way to play. A good use of armor and artifacts that lend to your demigod's abilities, speed, defense, or mana really let you play however you want. A good combination will lead you to victory, but that's not to say there isn't challenge. Although most of the grueling 3 hour battles will take place online the AI will pack a heavy punch when put to a high enough difficulty. There's nothing more satisfying than feeling that your playing with real people without having to send constant messages. The friendly AI will hold their own and know when to run for a health depot. The same is true of the enemy, they will often team up to beat you down or run behind cover of defense towers. With the new edition of two more demigods the total selection comes down to 8. This won't appeal to everyone as some players crave more diversity, but the few demigods available can all be played differently and all have their own skills so its not hard to find a demigod that suits you whether you want to slip in for a quick kill and then sprint for your life, charge head first with powerful spells and attacks, or take down their defenses and sneak in from the back. This is a welcome addition to the field of strategy.
