Nova have done it again. Another total waste of time. Should be called DFX1.5
Novalogic have never made single player games with good AI but with DFX2 they seem to have given up trying.
I have lost count the number of times that AI controlled team mates have been stuck inside buildings or end up running around in circles, while I stand wondering why the missions has not finished even though I have completed all the tasks.
Novalogic's strength has been in it's multi-player games. Having large maps and a large number of players enables you to play the games any way you want. If you want to snipe from 1200m away or spray & pray at close range, Novalogic's DF seres of games are perfect for that.
Unfortunately DFX2 is completely hopeless as far as ballistics are concerned,
500m is considered as long range and the G36 and M4 can out snipe the sniper rifles. If you are expecting any new weapons, you are going to be very disappointed.
I am quite happy with the graphics engine.
You don't need a super computer to play on a 100 player map and if the game play is good enough you will be concentrating on finding enemies to shoot at and not wasting time looking at the grass and trees.
Unfortunately the game play is not good enough and you will find it hard to get more than 50 people on the same map.
Eventually you will ask your self why you actually paid money for this, instead of it being a DFX1 patch.
There are a lot of better games around, I suggest you try one of those in stead.
