If you played the PC version this game will disappoint, but if you are new to the series then this game is worth playing

All the reviews for this game said that it was not a good game, but since I liked the PC version of the game so much I thought I would give this version a try and check out the multiplayer. That said the Ps2 version of this game is definately a dumbed down version of the PC version.

First off let me say that what took me a week to do in this version of the game took me about a month to do in the PC version. This version is a lot easier than the PC version. The Ps2 version is less than the PC version in the graphics department as well. The textures are muddy and dull. The character models are decent however.

The game plays like any other shooter that the Ps2 has to offer. So if you like the way shooters like Battlefield 2 playout than you should not have a problem with the way that the game plays on the Ps2. The controls are simple. I did like the RPG like character building system even though it didnt really seem to work half of the time. Also there is more emphasis on team play in this version which should be right up the alley for Tom Clancy fans looking for a new shooter fix.

The sound department is a different story. The explosions and stuff sound great and all, but the voice overs are absolutely terrible. I did however notice that they guy who does the voice for your character in this game is the same as the guy from Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter.

From what I hear this game has quite an extensive and fun multiplayer game built into it, but sadly I did not get a chance to enjoy it. I made about ten different profiles and none of them connected to the internet so I never got a chance to play them, which angered me because it was one of the reasons why i bought this game in the first place. So I dont now if the multiplayer has been disconnected or what but if it has that makes this game a strict rental and there is no real need to play this besides the six to eight hour single player game. That is unless you have a multi tap and you can play the deathmatch. The co-op can be pretty fun too, but Im guessing that it isnt as fun as the online deathmatch. I'd recomend a rental if you have not played the PC version, and see if you enjoy the multiplayer before making a purchase
