Not fixed yet, a bit laggy at times but some Amazing fun to be had here. Well worth it!

Here's the thing, when ever an MMO comes out there are teething problems and the flamers who paid their hard earned cash and can't get to play or have bad experiences are always the ones whose voices are heard over everyone else. That aside this game has flaws now but when they are ironed out this will be one brilliant game.

To my knowledge it's the first true MMO on the Xbox360. With up to 100 players in a single battle to take down an enemy at a single time. It makes for some truly epic battles.

BACKGROUND
You play an arc hunter in an earth devastated by alien terraforming. By taking down the bad guys (of which there seem to be an unending supply) you earn money and resources which can be traded for better gear.
There's an engaging storyline and some good character acting that bodes well for the sci-fi TV show when that arrives in mid -April.

GAMEPLAY
There's a ton of driving about and a few different vehicles on show to choose from. Leaping from bridges and performing aerial stunts gives great satisfaction.. (I often find myself thinking 'did anyone see me do that.. wow I'm awesome')
The combat is intense and fun and the choice and variety of weapons reminds me of Borderlands (which is not a bad thing.)

There's the single player story, the competitive team death match mode and the shadow war where 64 players take on another 64 players in a 'borrowed from Battlefield' domination mode.
All 3 modes are fun to dip in and out of but its the arc hunting that really floats my boat. Massive battles to take down giant alien bugs rarely ends in dissatisfaction.
I noticed from a video that the BETA had an instance dungeon mode, but this is missing from the game (I wonder what the problem was there.)

SUMMARY
It borrows from HALO, Bulletstorm, Borderlands, Battlefield, RAGE and a whole host of other great games. But it has it's own identity and 'feeling.'
My advice would be to jump on board defiance now while it is still growing and defining itself.
It's big fun and getting better all the time.
The game is to be linked with the TV show when that starts soon. Don't get left behind.
