Personaly I would rather light my boxers on fire then play a WWE game or anything like it, thats not the case for Def Jam Vendetta. My friend gave me this game cuz I'm always listenin' to rap, and I thought that I should at least try it and it's now one of my favorite games next to the Socom series, GTA series, and Full Spectrum Warrior.
Gameplay:
Def Jam Vendetta is basically a wrestling game with rappers from the Def Jam record lable. In the story mode you are a up and coming street fighter in the undergound league, your fighter gets brought into it because an old friend broke his arm and your fighting in his place and you end up fighting D-Mob, the guy running the league, to become the king of the underground fighting league of New York. One of my few problems with this game is that the guy your fighting has some cheap advantage that when you are beating them somehow they can come back and win from a large health difference or reverse most of your grabs or punch you in the nuts when they're getting up from the mat. In my opinion this game is best when you and some friends are just burning out playing this in tag team or free for all.
Graphics:
The character modles in this game are very well done, they look just like the real person if they are rappers, or your girlfriends' during the story mode. The game plays smooth and there is very little if any colition problems.
Sound:
The voices are the best I've heard in a fighting game for a long time. This games' sound track is made up of songs from the Def Jam rappers and some classic rap songs. Rapping up the sound of this game is the great commentary done by Funk Master Flex, who is one of the fighters.
Overall, this game is one of the best wrestling games EVER!!
