death jr is a good idea for a charactor but the game didnt size up to be what was predicted

death jr looked like an excellent game before its release, but it didnt turn out to be the reveloutionary game critics predicted. the main character, death jr (DJ) is an excellent idea for a platforming game, and the game would have been good if developers worked it a bit more.

GAMEPLAY: all you do is basiclly hack and slash through enemies with your scythe untill you pick some guns. the controls for the guns and scythe were poor and wasnt designed well enough. once you got the controls mastered, the gameplay got really easy. all i had to do was jump around slashing my enemies or shooting them while sidestepping. to top that off, some puzzles were either too easy to solve, or waay to hard.

GRAPHICS: the graphics are OK, but there wasnt much of variety in the enemies unless they were totally different types. the terrain graphics are not as good as i expected. overall, the graphics were fine.

SOUND: i thought the sound quality was poor and i got annoyed at the repetitive music that is played the entire game except for boss battles. the loundness of the music and sound is poor and the sound quality disapointed me

VALUE: when i beat the game in under 3 days, i couldnt believe what a crappy game i bought and i found no reason to go back and play it all over again.

overall, DJ would have been a great character for a platforming game, but developers should work on the sound, graphics, definintly the controls, and should change up the storyline which sucked.
