Dear Esther is not a game, it's an experience. It's not full of npc's, quests or action. It's full of mind blowing environments, ambience and questions.
Where am I? What am I doing and where am I going?

In Dear Esther you won't be able to open your inventory, you won't be able to touch or use anything. You won't be able to jump or run, yuo won't have to use any weapons or items.
It's all about the journey, a journey that slowly unravels the goal of the whole voyage.Or maybe the voyage is a goal in itself?
One thing's for sure, once you reach the end you'll realise that it was well worth it even though you'll probably be left with more questions than answers, but still thinking you know what it was all about.
Because of the never completely clear explanation, each playthrough could mean something completely different to each of us.
Dear Esther is a graphical marvel. Each environment you traverse, is absolutely stunning to look at and you'll soon find the need to take some screenshots. The gorgeous vistas are accompanied by a beautiful and magical soundtrack and the blowing wind, moving grass, flying leaves set the tone perfectly and you quickly find yourself completely entangled in all of this.
It becomes your own individual voyage and even though you'd like to speed things up at some point and you kinda feel like there's something missing, and even though you feel like this whole journey becomes a drag, you can't help but keep going.
The more you walk, the more the plot is being revealed. It's a sort of a letter to a woman named Esther and it's usually a loose set of thoughts and comments that also happen to kinda comment your current progress in the game.
Because it all feels very chaotic at first and because it feels like it caters to very few individuals, it may be tempting to exit the game and never play it again.
I have to say though that patience should be rewarded at the end, as long as you keep an open mind.

Dear Esther is an experience that needs but only a couple of hours of your time ( around 3 ).It's a unique project and a unique experience and if you think you'd like to experience something else, something different, it'll feel like a soul massage and once you reach the end, you can't help but keep staring at the screen and contemplate what you've just witnessed.
