there have been many reviews for this game ranging from 2/10 to 10/10. Read this to see a unbiased view on the game!
I will start off by sharing the good points of this game:
. Each character even those who aren't important to the main story have a developing and rather strange personality, Examples are the main character Agent Francis York who has a split personality named Zack, Thinks the future is in his Coffee and knows near enough every movie ever made. Others include the sheriff's assisstent who runs like a sissy who **** his pants and knows a scary amount of info about squirrels.
. It is argued that the game contains a bad soundtrack personally i think the music was amazing and fitted the mood of the game excellently.
. Even though they soon get a bit boring the first time you see the creepy exorcist like enemy's is something that proves quite memorable.
. Even though it doesn't effect the gameplay in deadly premonition you can shave, go to the bathroom and pear through random windows in the street.
. When you begin combat you are transported to a different dimension in the same area, it is very retro and throughout the whole game stays cool and interesting.
. The storyline is one of the better one of the recent years. It is a decent size and makes you want to continue the game to the end and even play it again to fit it all together.
the bad sides of the game include: . tedious combat where the melee weapons brake within a couple of hits and the auto aim always goes to the same unconvienint place, the crotch! . You can easily run past a whole group of the slow enemy's . There are some uncalled for action sequences the weirdest one being where Agent Francis York trys a sandwich and everyone gasps loudly.
.It is a open world game but most of the world is just repeated blocks from another area.
. A lot of the time when characters talk they use the traditional Japanese way of speech in games and just have subtitles and dramatic expressions, Although the game meant to do this it is not a plus. . Probably the main problem with this game along with the combat is the really bad driving. the keypad doesn't move in time, turning corners is near enough impossible and the general driving fells like your moving in a box
. the graphics suck . the special effects suck . the talking sucks the game itself doesn't suck i promise it is a unique experience that you will never forget whether you have good or bad time with it. for around £15 this game is a cheap thrill that could be improved in many ways but is very enjoyable at the same time!
