cry about graphics all you want, Deadly Premonition is nothing short of genius!
Deadly Premonition is an interactive love-letter to David Lynch's Twin Peaks tv show and all it's many die-hard fans.
DP's graphics leave a little to be desired and it's gameplay could easily be described as a Resident Evil lite. driving sequences are a clunky chore and the map is almost entirely broken. These shortcomings could easly destroy a game, yet with DP, i couldn't care less. DP succeeds in complete and total immersion. the story of a killer in a raincoat, a dead girl with seeds shoved in her mouth, a wise-ass yet socially awkward dective, and about a dozen other funny and creepy characters make the player intwined in it's world long after the games mindwarp of a conclusion.
this is the first time i've ever played a game where gameplay and graphics take a backseat to a story i never wanted to end.
here's hoping for sequels downloadable content or just about anything from the team responsible for this masterpiece!
