Deadly creatures in new, fun, and the downsides are surprisingly few!

User Rating: 9.5 | Deadly Creatures WII
Deadly Creatures follows four main characters. The tarantula and scorpion, which you play as, and two men, looking for buried treasure. Along your adventure in the desert, you will run along these people and watch them advance their half of the story line. Which is only one of the many things awesome about Deadly Creatures. One of my favorite parts about Deadly Creatures is the fact that it takes you into the world, of the bug. You hate 'em, now, you play as them on your Wii!! You get to see just how tough it is to live as a bug, and you can bring down a beating on your least favorite pest. These include rats, rattle snakes, other spiders, horned lizards, even (SPOILER) one human! Anyway, back to the game. The controls are rather simple, control stick on nunchuk to move, yadda yadda yadda. I like how they incorporated motion controls, but didn't over do it. Mainly they're used for special actions, and that's about it. I really like the feel of this game, it is dark, which, as you know, is rare on the Wii these days. When one hears of this game, one might say: "Is that on the Xbox 360?" But no! It's on the Wii! Anyway. I like beating on the enemies, and the scorpion's finishing moves are my favorite part about this game! You can set the difficulty for this game, so I have no beef with that. The biggest and most notable downside of Deadly Creatures is the frequent load times. Several of times, I have been interuppted in my bug slaughter by a random load time. The worst part about load times is that most of them are random and you never know how long they last! If a sequel were to roll around, that'd be a big check on the to-do list. Second beef: Length. I think this game is too short. Ten chapters is just not enough for me! Thus, I found myself redoing alot of levels, including chapter ten. Anway, loading times and length aside, this is a wonderful game, and I recommend it for those of you who are into bugs and dark themes, or to those who are just tired of casual games for the Wii. 9 out of 10.
