It's not a mortal Kombat, Street fighter, tekken, etc... Killer but does it really have to be?

I decided to write a review due to the lack of community reviews, but readers should know a head of time that I really enjoyed the first game and may be a bit biased in this review. I will however do my best to talk about points that I believe many people do not like. Deadliest Warrior is a fighting game that pits legendary characters through out history and pits them in one on one matches to the death, resulting in loss of vast amount of blood and body parts. you have 9 characters to choose from ranging from William Wallace, Sun Tzu and hernan Cortez. There isnt a lack of content on the multiplayer side or single player side. Why I like it:
My love for this game comes from the FUN factor of it not the technical precision of other fighters. Don't get me wrong I love playing a game of mortal Kombat and bringing the pain as Night Wolf to my foes, but MK has a more serious feeling to me. Sometimes I just want to step in a ring and cleave off limbs and watch my opponents fall in a goofy ragdoll fashion. While the FUN factor may be my favorite part of the game, Deadliest Warrior is much deeper then it appears at first glance. The game gives you the a variety of Offensive Manuevers and Defensive abilities. On of the offensive side of things you have your basic attacks ( High, Medium, Low) On top of this you have the ability to grab your opponent and attempt to break their leg, arm or finish them in a usually gory show of blood. Your final offensive ability is the use of a range weapon which can be a sling, bow, or even spear. Your Defensive abilities start with the block which blocks a good chunk of incomming damage. there is also the Dodge, and parry. You can use a dodge as an offensive maneuver or even an attack as a defensive move to maintain distance from an enemy but on first glance this is what you get.
The game starts to reveal its depth once you start playing online and seeing that things like maintaining proper distance and your endurance levels become essential to making it to the top tier of players on the leader board. A game between two well matched and skilled players becomes a chess match where you are trying to find that hole to spill your opponents guts all over the arena. Why you may not like it:
the game is not the smoothest fighter out there and at times the not so precise nature can be frustrating but if the idea of being william wallace and destroying everyone else sounds appealing to you then you may find yourself at home. I think the main reason why people shrug this game off as **** is due to the fact that it isn't as crisp and technical as other fighters, it is based off a TV SHOW which creates many red lights for us gamers, and the reviews from sites like gamespot and other big name websites. I got a bit mixed up in what i was doing and maybe I will update this review later ( i hope i can do that ) When I figure out a better way to write it. But as of now I am happy with this.
