User Rating: 9 | Dead Trigger AND
Dead Trigger keeps the story simple: it's a zombie apocalypse. In a series of missions you find survivors, assist them, and build up your equipment and resources.

The game follows the free-to-play model, so while it's perfectly possible to play through the game without spending money, you can get some nifty items or build up extra weapon supplies by buying gold. Gold can also be earned by looking at ads. Fortunately, the F2P aspect isn't at all intrusive.

The graphics are absolutely superb. The sound is more than sufficient and the music, while a repeating loop, is quite atmospheric for the game and its varied urban environments and really harkens back to the '80's. You feel like you're in an old '80's B-horror flick and the immersion is complete.

The only thing I'm missing is perhaps some in-game interaction with other characters. Being able to mingle with the other survivors in the safety of the stronghold, perhaps buying my supplies from them, would make the game even more immersive and fun. They could even provide more opportunities to the developers for F2P options.

In all, Dead Trigger is more than worth the download, and I'm sure you'll keep coming back to it.
